Children have a right to grow up in a family. They need to grow up somewhere where they can enjoy individual attention. With people who know and care a bout them.

 

Where they receive the support and motivation that helps them to develop into healthy, independent adults.

 

This is why EveryChild Ukraine is committed to  helping communities find family-based care for  children who cannot live with their own parents. We find and develop alternative solutions like foster or kinship care.

EveryChild trains social workers to provide emotional and practical support to get children living in institutions back into safe, secure and loving families (biological or extended). Monitoring and guidance before and after reintegration is an essential part of the process.

 

We also develop social services so the support can be maintained after our intervention has ended.

 

All our programmes are developed in partnership with governments, with the aim of developing an effective programme of deinstitutionalisation.
