From April 2011 Partnership for Every Child – a newly established Ukrainian NGO takes over EveryChild Ukraine and takes ownership of the work EveryChild has been doing in Ukraine for nearly 12 years, now ceasing to work in the country.
Partnership for Every Child plans to give a second breath to mission vision and values that have been guiding EveryChild’s activities over the recent years as well as further capitalize and develop EveryChild’s knowledge and experience in Ukraine. Support to social transformations in the best interests of the children at local, national and international level will continue to be the cornerstone and raison-d’être of the organisation.
EveryChild’s country offices will be effectively closed over the course of 2011 as a result of a process of new strategic thinking and handing over to local and independent organisations in different countries. Upon acquiring organizational and managerial independence, Partnership for EveryChild will share the key values and remain in contact with EveryChild, but it will work independently on improvement of well-being of vulnerable families with children in Ukraine. Partnership for Every Child was registered as a separate entity during 2010 and took over EveryChild’s activities in Ukraine from 1 April 2011.

From now on Partnership for Every Child will independently manage scope of activities implemented in our country, this will enable organization to act more confidently and take full responsibility of the decisions and steps taken. On the other hand, we will receive more opportunities to serve better, listen actively to the needs of our beneficiaries, especially children, and react immediately”, - she explains.
The new governing bodies will strengthen effectiveness of Partnership for Every Child’s team, most of all, due to incorporation of rich experience and high-level expertise of national and regional experts. This will enable organisation’s immediate response to the needs of vulnerable families and children without parental care.
Partnership for Every Child also plans to introduce new image and brand, present exciting opportunities of voluntary involvement in current projects for supporters and partners, improve the range and forms of support of organisation’s initiatives.
Currently Partnership for Every Child implements long-term projects aimed at improvement of well-being of vulnerable families with children: Preventing of child separation through implementing of gate-keeping mechanism, Care-leavers integration programme: Sure Start, Strengthening parents’ capacity of vulnerable families with children. These activities are supported by national, regional and international partners – World Childhood Foundation, International Social Services, Gerald and Henrietta Rauenhorst Foundation.

Representative office of EveryChild started its activities in Ukraine in 1998 under the name European Children’s Trust providing help for vulnerable families with children and preventing children’s institutionalization in Lviv and Kyiv Oblasts.
In 2002 after merger of the European Children's Trust and Christian Children's Fund, EveryChild Ukraine served as a field office of EveryChild UK – an international development charity working to stop children growing up vulnerable and alone. EveryChild Ukraine worked closely with the Government, local authorities and communities to develop interventions and social services which lead to the decrease of the number of children living without parental care.
During the years of work in Ukraine EveryChild developed integrated social services, reached more than 5000 families with children, prevented around 200 cases of child abandonment and delivered 800 trainings for childcare specialists.
Partnership for Every Child was registered in 2010 by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine as International Charitable Organization.
Independent status and the new governing bodies will strengthen effectiveness of Partnership for Every Child’s team, most of all, due to incorporation of rich experience and high-level expertise of national and regional experts. Partnership for Every Child will further capitalize knowledge and experience; develop expertise and competencies in childcare as well as continue to provide the leading examples of professional social work and the best solutions for vulnerable families and children’s well-being.
