EveryChild Ukraine is seeking a PROJECT ASSISTANT based in Kyiv to work on the EU Project "Development of Integrated Social Services for Exposed Families and Children".
Job Description
Job Title: Project Assistant
Reporting to: Team Leader
Role: To provide support to Project Staff in the establishment of integrated social services for children and families in Kiev Oblast
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to National and International Social Work Experts and Project Staff throughout Kiev Oblast to develop a package of social services for families and children.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of social work staff.
- Assist with the organization of conferences, seminars, training events, celebrations and other social events.
- Establish and maintain links with Project partners ensuring open and regular communication.
- To support partners and social workers at rayon and city administration level to develop and implement new forms of social services which support family based care.
- Work within agreed organisational administrative systems to support effective and efficient completion of the Project.
- Produce on request and accurately a wide range of documents including reports, tables and presentations using Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.
- Arrange and attend meetings and take and distribute minutes within agreed timescales.
- Make travel and accommodation arrangements for Project Staff.
- Support international Experts with orientation and provision of information.
- To collect information relating to the new integrated social services at the request of Project Experts.
- Deal with incoming post, e-mails, fax and telephone calls, responding appropriately.
- Co-ordinate work schedule with Project Administrator.
- Work within agreed timescales and to deadlines.
- Maintain security of information and confidentiality.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Team Leader that are relevant to the post.
Person Specification:
Essential
§ Higher education
§ 3 + years experience of working in a similar environment
§ Knowledge of the social care sector in Ukraine
§ Ability to work with initiative and under pressure
§ Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
§ Fluency in Ukrainian and English
§ IT Skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint e-mail and internet
§ A self motivator able to plan and manage own workload, flexible and willing to travel within Kyiv oblast and on occasion other regions of Ukraine
Desirable
- Social Work training and qualifications
