Training ‘Reintegration of Children from Residential Care to Families’
On 26 & 27 April a two day training event, ‘Reintegration of Children from Residential Care to Families’ was conducted for trainers of the Kiev oblast training centre.
The training was provided within the framework of the EU Project Development of Integrated Social Services for Exposed Families and Children by international social care expert Ingrid Jones.On completion of the training the participants understood:- the stages of reintegration
- the process of assessment and selection of the children able to be reintegrated back to their families
- mechanisms for preparing the child for his/her return - planning the reintroduction programme, assessing the family situation etc.
The participants, trainers of Kiev oblast training centre, will provide similar training for social workers and other specialists in pilot rayons of Kyiv oblast.
