The discussion focused on definition of the short-term fostering that is used to provide short-term accommodation for children whose parents are ill or unable to care for them on a temporary basis. The participants emphasized the importance of role and place of state bodies at the local level in the process of search for vulnerable children, placing them to short-term fostering families, support of the foster carers and children, as well as objectives and ways of cooperation between foster and biological families.
