    Social workers of Kyiv region adopt innovative technologies of work

    During February and March in the framework of implementation of Integrated Social Services Model  at different levels EveryChild Ukraine will conduct a series of seminars devoted to “Development of local programme for integrated social services establishment for Fastov and Bila Tserkva cities” (20-21 February, Brovary city), “Implementation of integrated  social services with the angle on community needs” for Tarashcha, Kyiv-Svyatoshyn, Tetiyiv, Bila Tserkva, Baryshiv districts (28-29 February) and “Strengthening cooperation in providing integrated social services between Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky and district” (26-27 March).

    Seminars will be attended by specialists from state bodies: social services of different level, specialists of educational, health and care spheres, police officers, psychological services, representatives of residential care institutions, Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky Pedagogical University.  
     
    The trainings will concentrate on mechanisms of integrated model implementation of social services in cities of Kyiv region and in rural areas, including strengthening cooperation in living care services for graduates of residential care institutions. Organizers will pay attention to specific theories that are relevant to child care social work such as attachment theory, child development and behavioral social work.
     
    It is believed that seminars will contribute to strengthening of interdepartmental cooperation in sphere of children’s rights, as well as will assist local community to take decisions in order to improve children and families conditions. The participants will improve professional competence in terms of protection of children’s rights to a family in the context of State social programme of reforming the system of Residential child care.
     
    To achieve this goal specialists together with participants will examine closer principles of social services delivery on the basis of an integrated approach, specific features of establishment of effective system of child protection, as well as will learn more about system of urgent reaction towards child abuse. They will also define the main responsibilities of Children’s Service in the sphere of children and families in stress, analyze State social of reforming the system of Residential child care, and get a closer look on effective children’s rights protection system development.
     
    On the 22nd of February “Evaluation of children’s and family needs” seminar, facilitated by the local expert Zh. Petrochko will discuss the experience of social workers of Kyiv region in approbation of new methodology in evaluation of family and children’s needs. The participants and specialists of EveryChild Ukraine will work through evaluation tools.
