EveryChild Ukraine has been chosen as an official charity partner of "Legal Award of the Year"
For the second time EveryChild Ukraine has been chosen as the official charity partner of the annual “Legal Awards 2008”, which will be awarded for the best lawyers of Ukraine.
The organizers of the ceremony which will take place in May in Hayatt Regency Hotel in Kyiv will ask viewers and participants to donate for the current projects of EveryChild in Ukraine.
Last year participants of the ceremony collected 5700 UAH (1500 USD) to improve living conditions of Chernigiv Parent and Baby Unit, where today 7 mothers stay and continue their education and at the same time take care of their children.
This financial contribution enabled EveryChild to renovate the premises of Parents and Baby Unit after the flood, change water-pipes, provide new damp course.
Furthermore, two young mothers passed vocational education and training course and received an occupation of hair-dresser and manicurist, thus setting an example for other mothers.
