    EveryChild Ukraine wins two awards for prevention of child abandonment campaign

     

    Prevention of child abandonment information campaign "Want to meet..." implemented by EveryChild Ukraine together with Kyiv regional center for social services for family, children and youth was among winners at the International Festival of Advertising "White Square", taking home two trophies as winners from the campaign category were announced.

     

    AnnouncementVideo and series of posters and boards were developed by leading Ukrainian creative Agency PROVID.

     

    Video "Pregnant Man" with a voiceover of a Ukrainian singer L Kravchuk won second place in the nomination of the best social videospots, print "Announcement" won the third place in nomination of the best printed social advertisement.

     

    Printed boards, posters, flyers and video were integral parts of the communication campaign "Want to meet...", which was implemented in Kyiv and Kyiv region during August-December 2008.

     

    During the first stage lamp posts, public transportation vehicles and institutions of Kyiv and Kyiv region were flooded with the announcements containing the following intriguing request "Want to meet a pregnant girl, without work, without support, and without a place to stay".

     

    At the second stage video "Pregnant man" was launched and rotated. At the same time image of a pregnant man embodied deep understanding and impressiveness of the social workers into a difficulties which young girls face with.

     

     

    Providing strong recall levels, generating hundreds of calls to social services and results that included contributing to a decrease in the level of child abandonment in Kyiv region are all reasons that the work PROVID took home two awards.

     

    The International Adverising Festival took place in Minsk Belarus on the 16-18th of April 2009. There were more than 750 works from 8 countries present in the contest. Prestigious awards were announced in 63 campaign categories in 12 contests.  Jury underlined that Ukrainians showed a high level of new ideas and their realization. Moreover, creative agency managed to find low-cost and effective solutions in their works.
