EveryChild Ukraine transfers good practice and knowledge with delegation from Tajikistan
On 9-20th of April EveryChild Ukraine takes an active part in a study visit to explore Ukrainian childcare system and system of social services for colleagues from Tajikistan.
The group consists of 15 authority leaders including Head of the Department of Social protection of Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Tajikistan republic, University teachers, educationalists and service providers from Tajikistan.
EveryChild Ukraine recognizes this visit an excellent opportunity to learn and to examine good practice in childcare system and social services for vulnerable families with children.
Study visit will present approaches and examples of good practice on:
- incentives and initiatives developed at national and regional (Kyiv, Lugansk) levels for education and training institutions to cooperate with external partners, municipalities, social partners, NGOs, etc.;- national, regional and local examples of state system of social centers for family, children and youth, innovative child-friendly services and shelters; integrated social services for vulnerable families and children;
We arranged for our guests a varied and stimulating programme. The structure of the Ukrainian childcare system and system of social services will be outlined during meetings with Vice head of State Social Services for Family, Children and Youth, Head of Kyiv State Services for Children, Head of Kyiv local social center.
Furthermore delegates will be acquainted with educational system for specialists in social sphere on the basis of Kyiv School for Social work at National Kyiv Mohyla Academy, Kyiv Institute of Psychology and Social work, Chair of Social Pedagogy and Social work of Lugansk National University.
Participants also will receive a 2-day training on innovative technologies in social work and education in Kyiv Institute of Psychology and Social work, will visit resource center of the University.
EveryChild Ukraine will show the fruitful results of co-operation with state authorities in Brovary, Kyiv oblast. In particular vice Mayor of Brovavry and head of local center for social services will show how integrated social services established by EveryChild Ukraine improved lives of vulnerable families and children and prevent institutionalization. Everychild Ukraine will facilitate a thematic round-table "Development of social work in Ukraine as a profession".
The formal programme will be enhanced by a series of dinners which will allow participants to exchange ideas on an informal basis, provide opportunities to meet in smaller groups to discuss areas of common interest or experience.
